Kerbers artists

Für die Serie „Kerbers Künstler“ besuchte ich Miriam Vlaming, Sven Drühl und Matthias Meyer in ihren Ateliers. Bilder dieser Maler befinden sich in der Sammlung von Christof Kerber. Als Verleger von Kunstbüchern und Katalogen lernte er sie kennen und erhielt Einblicke in ihr Werk und ihre Ateliers. Diese Begegnungen Vorort sind der Ausgangspunkt der Sammlung von Christof Kerber.

Daher begebe ich mich mit meiner Kamera ebenfalls auf die Suche Vorort. Auf die Suche nach jener Faszination, die ein Sammler hier verspürt. Nach mehreren Besuchen bei den Künstlern liegt sie für mich in der Unterschiedlichkeit der Interieurs, der Differenz der Materialien und der Besonderheit der jeweiligen künstlerischen Praxis.

For the series "Kerbers Künstler" I visited Miriam Vlaming, Sven Drühl and Matthias Meyer in their studios. Pictures of these painters are in the collection of Christof Kerber. As a publisher of art books and catalogues he got to know them and gained insight into their work and studios. These encounters on location are the starting point of Christof Kerber's collection.

That is why I am also going on a search for Vorort with my camera. In search of the fascination that a collector feels here. After several visits to the artists, for me it lies in the diversity of the interiors, the difference of the materials and the special nature of the respective artistic practice.
